Cedric Kyles was born on April 24, 1964, to parents Rosetta (née Boyce) and Kittrell Kyles in Jefferson City, Missouri. Rosetta was a teacher, and Kittrell worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad. Sharita Kyles Wilson, Cedric’s younger sister, teaches communications at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.
He was a scholar who attended Berkeley High School and graduated with honors. His next stop was Southeast Missouri State University, where he pursued a communications degree.
